Duties and Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead instruction by Florida Early Learning and Developmental Standards
  • Administer and document VPK Assessments (AP1, AP2, AP3)
  • Create and implement engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans
  • Maintain a structured, inclusive, and developmentally supportive classroom
  • Build strong relationships with children, families, and team members
  • Keep organized records of attendance, lesson plans, and assessments
  • Participate in training and professional development
Qualifications & Preferences

Minimum Qualifications

  • Valid Florida VPK Instructor Credential
  • Completed DCF 45-hour Child Care Training
  • CPR/First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Minimum 1–2 years of VPK experience, including assessment administration

Must be 18 years or older
