VPK Lead Teacher

Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Preschool VPK (Voluntary Prekindergarten) Lead Teacher to inspire young learners and foster their early childhood development. Your leadership will guide children through engaging lessons, hands-on activities, and age-appropriate curriculum to prepare them for future academic success. Duties

• Develop and implement comprehensive curriculum plans aligned with early childhood education standards, including literacy, math and physical education
• Create a stimulating classroom environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and social interaction among preschool children.
• Manage daily classroom activities, ensuring smooth transitions and effective behavior management strategies to promote positive conduct.
• Assess each child’s developmental progress through observations, standardized testing, and documentation; tailor instruction to meet individual needs, including those requiring special education or early intervention services.
• Maintain compliance with licensing regulations, health and safety standards, and childcare policies at all times.
• Maintain classroom cleanliness and organization at all times.
• Prior classroom experience working with preschool-aged children in early childhood education settings or daycare environments.
• Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development across multiple domains such as literacy education, math instruction, physical education, and Montessori techniques.
• Knowledge of childhood development principles, behavior management strategies, and special education accommodations.
• Experience with classroom management tools including lesson planning software and standardized testing procedures.
• Strong communication skills for engaging effectively with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners.
• Familiarity with toddler care practices and early intervention programs is preferred.
• Previous private school or daycare experience is advantageous; certification in early childhood education or related fields is highly desirable.
